Scythe intros Shuriken CPU Cooler
Just as we we're ready to call it a day and watch Lost Tokio-based Scythe has whispered a weird name in our ear - Shuriken. The Shuriken is the hand-hidden weapon used by old time Ninja warrior to attack its enemy but in this 21st century it is the new low-profile cooler from the Japanese company already mentioned.
With a height of 'only' 64mm and weighting in 355 grams, the cooler features lots of aluminum fins, three copper heatpipes and a slim 100mm fan rated to work at up to 2200 rpm (±10%), although users can choose to hook up a 92mm fan instead. Compatible with Socket 478, LGA 775, socket 754m 939, 940 and AM2 boards, the Shuriken comes with the VTMS (Versatile Tool-Free Multiplatform System) for tool-free mounting.
The new low-profile Shuriken can be found costing about $32 or 28 euros (without VAT).
