ATI X800XT PE vs. eVGA 6800 Ultra: The Battle at the Top

There is no wrong choice between these two Video Cards. Performance is within a few frames in most cases – and the eVGA 6800 Ultra is able to do this at a lower clock speed. Availability may still hinder shoppers from being able to purchase the X800XT PE and when stock is found there it’s usually at an elevated price.

Catalyst 5.1 drivers have matured.
Single Molex connection.

Cons: ATI X800XT PE
Card generates a lot of heat.
Availability, price.

Fast, within a few % of the X800XT PE.
More availability that XT PE, selling for about $450.
Newer technology than X800XT PE.
Made for Doom III.

Cons: eVGA 6800 Ultra
Requires 2x Molex Power Connectors and AGP with adjoining PCI slot.
Drivers still need some work, Nvidia needs to get WHQL drivers out more often.

Ambas as placas são mto boas, havendo pouca diferença em termos de performance entre ambas no que diz respeito a testes reais (jogos) - afinal é para eles mesmo que precisamos de espatifar 500€ numa VGA...
Eu pessoalmente, compraria a 6800 Ultra, devido ao facto de possuir tecnologias gráficas mais recentes (ainda não implementadas nas ATi), a NVidia melhorou em mto a qualidade gráfica, sendo pouco notória a diferença de imagem entre as NVidia e as ATi :)

Amanhã vou ver uma ATI X800XT PE a funcionar e talvez já apareça ai alguns scores ;)

ya faz isso, mesmo assim o que estraga na ati agora é a falta do pixel shader 3.0 :(
